Hakone-Yumoto is the gateway station for the Hakone area; onward travel to Gora, Togendai and the lake is by the Hakone Tozan line, bus or ropeway.
The last Romancecar to Hakone-Yumoto leaves Shinjuku in the early evening, well before the last Narita Express arrives - if you land late in the day you cannot reach Hakone by Romancecar the same day, and should plan a night in Tokyo or Odawara instead. Both trains are fully reserved, so buy the limited express tickets before you board.
